Experienced Armenian Grandmaster Hrant Melkumyan Takes The First Place!!!
11th International Istanbul Chess Festival Blitz Tournament came to an end. Experienced Armenian Grandmaster Hrant Melkumyan took the first place with 9.5 points, GM Farrukh Ammonatov took the second place with same score and GM Gevorg Haturjunyan took the third place with 9 points. Players showed great fighting spirit especially in the last rounds. The best local player was Cem Pekun who is the Tournament Director of the Istanbul Chess Festival. The attention towards the blitz event ,which total prize was 1550$ cash, was highly satisfying.
